Clinical Injury Treatment / Medical Massage

Thoughtful Care for Pain, Injury, and Recovery

Clinical Injury Treatment at Human Body Works is focused, assessment-driven massage therapy designed to support recovery from injury, pain patterns, or movement limitations.

This work is appropriate when something isn’t resolving on its own. Often due to overuse, trauma, repetitive strain, or prolonged stress on the body.

When care needs to be precise, adaptive, and well-paced.

Sessions are guided by:

  • Injury history and mechanism

  • Current symptoms and tolerance

  • Functional limitations

  • Stage of healing or recovery

Care evolves as the body changes. Techniques are selected based on presentation and response, not a fixed protocol.

What This Work Supports

Clinical Injury Treatment may support:

  • Recovery from acute or chronic musculoskeletal injuries

  • Post-rehabilitation phases

  • Motor vehicle accident–related soft tissue injuries

  • Work-related strain or repetitive-use patterns

  • Pain that interferes with sleep, work, or daily activity

Depending on assessment, sessions may incorporate modalities such as heat or ice, myofascial decompression (cupping), instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), or taping. These tools are used intentionally and within scope.

Collaborative, Client-Centered Care

We regularly work alongside physical therapists, physicians, chiropractors, athletic trainers, and legal teams when appropriate.

With client consent, we can provide clear treatment summaries and functional observations to support coordinated care. Our role is to complement — not replace — other medical or rehabilitative services.
